After all my nail mails yesterday from Nicehands and Wicky Hannah, I had an extremely hard time choosing  what to do, and what new things to try out.
Despite my many attempts of putting things together, it didn’t really end up in something that I wanted on my nails. So I ended up walking away from it, and trying to clear my head. And when I came back, I had an idear of what I wanted to do.!

I started by finding the base color, and I wanted it to be my favorite color, purple, but it had to be from my untried polishes, so I fell for Il Était Un Vernis Dahlia. A deep, dark and rich colored purple scattered holographic polish.

So on top of my OPI Nail Envy I put down 2 coats of Dahlia, and a coat of Seche Quick Dry Top Coat. While that dried down, I got out my new Clear Jelly Stamper stamping plate CjS-48 Sweet Swirls out.
I didn’t end up using any of my new stamping polishes. Why you ask??? Well I’ll tell you, I didn’t buy a black or silver/holo one, so now I know what to buy next time, ’cause that’s not okay. So I went back to my “go to” polishes, even though they are not stamping polishes, they are perfect for it. For black I got China Glaze Liquid Leather and for the silver holo I chose Color Club Harp On It.

This gorgeous plate was my biggest obstacle today. I won the popular plate from CjS Simple Rose and Script CjS-02and I haven’t learned how to do the rose from that plate without problems, so I thought that today would be even harder. My thought was that I wanted a solid base stamped on top of the Dahlia, and on top of the stamped base, I wanted the swirlies. So I sad for a looooong time practicing, I tried different scraper card, how hard I scraped, what direction and so on. And, in the end I did it! That the stamp turned out prettier on my try out paper than on my nails is just what it is. But I figure out how get the solid base picked up without holes in it.

Just look at how pretty Harp On It sits under the swirly stamp, I’ve managed to wear some of the swirlys of the paper, because it’s my mouse mat.  This stamp ended up on my thumb so there’s no pictures of it.

I stamped the first picture with Color Club Harp On It and after that I took China Glaze Liquid Leather and stamped the swirlies on top. I love this result, and for the first time, in a long time, I love my nails. The last couple of mani’s I’ve done have been pretty, but I’ve been a mind set of not being completely happy with my nails, but I am today.

On top of my 2 stamps I’ve added a new layer of Seche Vite and they where done….

What do you think? Have I done an okay job on these??? Here’s som more pictures, from the shadows of the shinning sun.

I love these nails, but I’m even more in love with these plates, now that I figured out how to get the big images up. So I’m hoping that I can remember how to do it next time I go to use these plates and the new stamping polishes that I bought the other day…
