Tropical Leaves – English

It?s thursday again, and I needed new nails, after wearing my unicorn nails all weekend. It?s starting to build up in my head that we are going to Turkey on holiday soon, so I thought I?d try out some holiday themed nails.

With the help of my untried swatch sticks pile ??? , I ended up with a polish in the Summer blue shade.

My first choice landed on Sally Hansen Magic Carpet Ride, a perfect lightblue color in my eyes. I?m still in the ?getting to know? the Sally Hansen brand face, so I?m still skeptical when it comes to the light polishes. But, despite it?s light color, it still is completely opaque in 2 coats. The only thing that I could put my finger on with this polish was, that it was a bit thick in it?s consistency, but nothing that a couple of Seche Vite Polish Thinner, couldn?t fix. After that, it was a dream to work with, and evened out perfectly on my nail.

The next polish that I chose was, Essie Garden Variety. A really beautiful turqouise polish that is a joy to work with. I?ve even gotten to love the wide brush that they have. It?s goes on without any trouble and evens out perfectly.

I chose my new stamping plate L002 from UR Sugar, because it has these gorgeous palms on it, and I knew right away that I wanted to do a double stamp with China Glaze Liquid Leather and Color Club Harp On It.

I know it?s a combo that I?ve used a couple of times befor, but I really love this combo. Beside me loving this combo I also thought that Liquid Leather would be to dark on it?s own on top of my dry brush base. So Harp On It, was added on top to brighten up the mani but also because I need holo in my life, otherwise my nails just feel wrong. #holosexual

I?ve started with a base of Appeal4 Nail Booster, ?cause I need a break rom my OPI Envy, because my nails are getting, almost too curved, in my opinion. Nail Booster, still strengthens my nails, like my Envy does, It just doesn?t make my nails curve as much, why I don?t know.
Before I started adding the dry bush strokes, I?ve added Born Pretty Peel Of Tape to protect my cuticles from the polish but also from the acetone if I need to do any clean up.

On top of the Nail Booster I?ve as written further up, added 2 coats of Magic Carpet Ride and Garden Variety, and I?ve let I completely dry before I started adding the dry brush strokes on top.

On Magic Carpet Ride I?ve added Big Spender and Garden Variety as the dry brush colors, and on Garden Variety I?ve added Magic Carpet Ride and Big Spender.
When I was completely satisfied with it, I added another coat of Seche Vite Quick Dry Top Coat, and let that dry for about 30 minuts or so, before I starting on the other hand.

The stamping plate for UR Sugar, I?ve bought on Joom, which is just like eBay, AliExpress, Wish, Geek etc etc.

I have, as per usual, used my Clear Jell StamperThe Big Bling XL Stampe and the scraper card that it came with, for this stamp. I don?t know why, but it?s the only stamper that I used, even though I love my Born Pretty Rosegold stamper, and my Beauty Big Bang stamper, I always end up using my Clear Jelly Stamper. It just never let?s me down.

The first layer of stamping was China Glaze Liquid Leather, and after that I?ve added Color Club Harp On It. Now it was time for the final layer of Seche Vite top coat, and my nails where done.

I can?t help but feel that there is missing some orange or yellow in the base, but never mind that, maybe next time. I love the result any way.

So what do you think?

Take Care lovelies.
