It’s A Sauna Out There m. Bridal Veil UK

As I’m writing this, it’s friday the 11th of may.

Today the amazing news came, that the hole family have been waiting for, for way to long. My mother-in-law, had her last check at the hospital today, and she was declared completely cancer free.. !!!!

My mother-in-law is the most outstanding woman I know.

She has delt with this hole sickness course, much better than the husband or I have, and it’s not even us that’s undergoing all the treatments. She has been amazing through it all. She… She really is a superwoman, and the inspiration for the woman I wish to be, and how I should be living my life.

The husband and I agreed, that if there ever was a cause for a speciel manicure, this would definitely be on that list…

So when the twins was safely tucked into be, I got started on my nails. !

But what should I make?
I didn’t want to make the traditional breast-cancer nails, and my other thought was, the breast cancer bow, with a big X across it, but I was afraid that it might offend some, and that was definitely not my attention.
So, I came up with other ideas, but none of them seemed appropriate. So I changed my tactics. I chose the most bright “in your face” pink as a hint to the breast cancer part. Then I found my A England Bridal Veil out of the drawer, a beautiful black creme polish, with scattered holo in, as the breast cancer eraser part. As I’m writing this, I realize that it sounds stupid, because you can’t erase cancer, but I’m hoping you get the idea.

I found my new vinyl from ViNailiciousLinear Hearts, for more that one reason.
1. I’m sentimental right now, but an old saying goes “love conqours all”, and it’s kinda fitting here, with my mother-in-law in mind.
2. I really love this vinyl, it’s so telling on it’s own.
3. Cathy’s vinyls has to be loved and used.

I started with a base of OPI Envy, and after that, 2 coats of  Color Cub It’s A Sauna Out There. It’s A Sauna Out There is a thermo polish from Color Club Heat Index collection, and this is the first time I’ve tried it, even though I’ve owned it since the 19th of July 2016. But, I have to say, I’m really impressed with this polish. By the first layer, the polish seemed incredibly thin, and not that pigmented, and I thought that I might need 3 layer to be fully opaque. A 3rd coat would definitely do the polish more opaque on the nails, but I have to say, that on the picture below, it’s only had 2 coats, plus a coat of my Seche Vite top coat, and it covers great in my opinion.

When the top coat was dry, I placed the vinyl as I wanted it, and gently applied Bridal Veil, and took the vinyl off, while the Bridal Veil still was a little wet.
When I was sure that Bridal Veil was completely dry, I added a new layer of Seche Vite, and the nails was done.

A lot can be said about these nails, but I don’t think they scream breast cancer  in any way. What do you think?

Now I hear my couch calling, and I want to lay there smiling all over the face like an idiot, just because of the great news.

Take Care lovelies
